The Train From Rome Is In Retardo

In the Florence main station. I couldn't help but notice that he had to lug around their giant suitcase and huge backpack, while she was barely carrying anything more than her purse. Seems fair.

The train from Rome to Venice was about 20 minutes late (in retardo) arriving in Florence, which is why all these people are standing around, but the engineer must have put the pedal to the metal because we got to Padova right on time where, unfortunately, I had to change trains for Vicenza to get back to work. i'd really rather have kept going to Venezia.
