Il Duomo (Cathedral) of FlorencePosted by njsux (Shrewsbury, NJ, United States) on 30 October 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio. Interesting (to me at any rate) that the German word for cathedral is Dom and the Italian word is duomo. Both are derived, I believe, from the Latin word dominus (Lord).
